There was a playoff for first and third. The putting contest ended in a tie between David Sellers & Ted Archer (unavailable for photo) Saturday morning the members and their guests gave their all to get a good start on their total weekend score. They returned Sunday and tee’d off in cooler weather, but finished in a pouring rain. It was a fun weekend, despite the rain.   Sugar Hill Golf Association - “Club Championship” 2010 August 21, 2010 The Sugar Hill Golf Association played their Net Championship Tournament today after the torrential rain subsided. They had a late start, but finished up without getting soaked and enjoyed some fellowship, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and slaw. The results of the tournament are as follows: 1st – Shaun Davis (right) 2nd – Frank Jones (right) 3rd –Bob Bullard 4th – David Strickland DAS Award was given to: Jimmy Denaple   Sugar Hill Golf Association - “Club Championship” 2010 July 17 & 18th, 2010 The Club Championship was a success. We had 41 players fight for the title of Club Champion. The last two groups were caught in a bad rain and had to come in and wait for it to pass, but overall, everyone had a great time. The course is in excellent condition. This was a two day event that followed by a cookout and lots of fellowship. Lisa came out and took pictures. This tournament is an invitational, hosted by Richard’s son, Bill. It is one of the most enjoyable tournaments of the year. Today we had a great turnout. The weather was hot and so was the game for many! Fred (Froze Up Fred) Spigner got a hole in one on his first shot of the day at hole #12. This tournament had four flights. We had a packed out golf course with the beautiful weather. We had wonderful weather (finally) and some new players to the Association. The ABCD match finally ended after a five hole playoff. The results are as follows: 1st place – Fred Spigner, Steve Kach, Paul Alexander and Dan Kilgallon. 2nd place – Chris Carr, Norman Samples, Jerry Carroll and Mike McKune. 3rd place – Hoby Banks, David Rahn, Jerry Metzler and Ronnie Whited. 4th place – Jeff Crawford, Dennis Taylor, Bill Reid and Robbie Haverstick. Sign up now for the 2-man Dogfight tournament on March 20th and see the new clubhouse additions.
